Take a look at our diverse
growing ministry opportunities.
Acts 2:46-48  Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
Life Groups are designed to help you know a smaller group of people within the church community that can journey with you through daily life.

Life Groups provide a safe place for you to process what God is doing in your life and challenges you to grow in your spiritual journey with Jesus.
Life Groups provide an opportunity for you to show others who Jesus is by serving and “sowing” in your local community. We strive to be a “Family on Mission”.
CHILD CARE is available at the church for Sunday Night Life Groups starting at 5:45 pm.
*Childcare is not available at the church for Monday night groups.
D-Groups are a group of 3 to 8 christ followers that covenant together for 4 to 6 months to develop their ability to hear and respond to God. The D-Group leader helps facilitate this process and is committed to your spiritual growth. We are not interested in just more information about God, but discipleship through obedience. We will follow the pattern of discipleship that is found in the Scriptures and provide information, tools, and a living example from which you can learn from. There are two major questions that we will wrestle with weekly as we come together; First, “What is God speaking to you”? Second, “How are you going to respond”?
D-Groups are designed to give participants the opportunity to be discipled in a very intentional way. The vision however is not for you to just receive this experience, but it is to pass it along to others. We want to see people invested in so that they can disciple others. This is the only way the church can experience discipleship multiplication.

Women’s Bible Study
Led by Jennie Wright

Trustworthy by Lysa Terkeurst. Do you ever say you trust the Lord but then end up exhausted trying to keep everything under control in case He doesn’t come through? In this study of 1 & 2 Kings, we will learn crucial lessons from the kings of the old testament that are full of wisdom and warnings we must unpack, process, and apply to our own lives. Workbook – $16

Going Global
Led by Mission Board

Why is it important to be a missional church? Join us for a Supper & Sessions breakout where we dig into the Biblical and Historical context of the Great Commission. We’ll explore how it’s always been God’s mission to spread the gospel to the ends of the Earth, where the disciples went after Jesus died, the history of the global church, cultural barriers to modern missions, and our strategy moving forward. If you are interested in going on mission with Crossroads, or just want to know more about what the bible says about missions, this is the class for you!

Missional Community Training
Led by Mike Humprey

Everyone desires to live in community and to experience purpose. Join us for a time of learning as we explore how Jesus never intended for us to be a bunch of individuals on mission alone, rather God has called us to love others as we live in community with one another. During this time we will look at  some new and fresh ways to think about how we effectively reach people in our community that God has placed around us. As CrossRoads envisions ministry in the future, we want to think strategically about how we can live on mission together.

MICAH 6:8

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

As we are individually restored by God’s love, we are called to serve the most vulnerable and marginalized in our city and world through the work of mercy and justice.

The confession of our faith is that we recognize our own brokenness and the need for Jesus to restore us and the world in which we live.  We believe that restoration of relationship with God and with others is the very essence of the gospel.

We serve foster children in Hampton Roads by providing high quality clothing, shoes, and necessities at no cost.
– Sorting Clothes
We have donations coming in on a daily basis. We need volunteers to come to the closet once a week to sort through the donation and hang and store the wanted items and bring the unwanted items to a local thrift store or donation box.
– Meeting with families
After a family has submitted an application and has been approved, they will need someone to meet them at the closet to help them pick out items. This is a position that will require flexibility based on the times that a family and volunteer are both available. Having several volunteers with varying times that they are available gives us the opportunity to have more availability to our foster families to get needed items as soon as possible.
All donations are used to purchase new socks and underwear as well as any other necessities that our families may need that we don’t currently have in the closet.

What to expect on a Sunday morning
Every Sunday morning there are volunteers ready to meet you and your child and help you check in before the service. The children’s wing of the church is located to the left once you walk through the main entrance into the cafe. Once checked in, infants through preschoolers will be taken to their designated classrooms where they will be warmly greeted at the classroom door by their teacher. For the 9 am service, (after the first set of worship songs), elementary aged children (Kindergarten-5th grade) will be dismissed to their children’s program and will be greeted by their teacher in the cafe just outside the sanctuary doors. Journeyers Children’s ministry currently uses The Gospel Project®: The Big Picture of God’s Story

The Gospel Project® immerses kids, preschoolers, toddlers and babies in the gospel through every story, theological concept, and call to mission from Genesis to Revelation. Ultimately, the Gospel message changes everything; heart transformation can only take place when a child experiences the Gospel. Through The Gospel Project® children will understand the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story—God’s story of redemption.

The buddy program at CrossRoads Church has been growing and developing for many years now and is a direct result of responding to needs within our church family.
We serve and care for children with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their families. Volunteers serve as buddies to these children by pairing up with them on a Sunday morning during church and/or Monday evening during Living in Holland. Church staff members train and equip volunteers based on the child’s individual needs.
Do you have a child that has special needs?
We would love to serve and care for your family. Please fill out this form as it will allow us to better know and understand your child(s) specific needs. We will use this information to pair them with an adult and we may follow up with you to get more specific details. On Sunday Mornings, buddies are only offered during our 9 AM service.
The purpose of our Buddy Program is two-fold:

1. To help each child feel included, loved and valued, and to guide them to understand God’s message of unconditional love and forgiveness.

2. To provide support, encouragement, and fellowship for the families of those with special needs.

 Opportunities for families:
Living in Holland meets at the church the 4th Monday of every month from 7-8:45pm.
This is a group for Moms of children with special needs. These women meet together to share community and support. Childcare is provided for ALL children.
The CRC Youth Ministry welcomes all youth, grades 6 to 12. Our leaders are passionate about pointing students to Christ and empowering them to embrace an identity rooted in Him.
– Meet regularly every Sunday evening at 6 PM
Check with Patrick for next events!
To create a safe and fun environment for students to learn, share, and discuss what God is doing in their lives, as well as, build solid relationships with one another through fellowship.
We want to see students reaching out to impact their school campuses, the community, and the world.

We want to see women get connected to other women and thrive in their relationship with Jesus. Toward that end, we offer several studies and support groups.
