CrossRoads has always had a strong tie to college students and to local universities. The church was originally founded on the campus of Old Dominion University and was made up only of college students.
The generation between the ages of 18 - 25 has the most potential of any other generation in history. They are more educated and technically savvy than any other generation before. They are expected to have the most wealth and to live longer than any other generation in history. We believe that people in this age range are often looked over by the church because they don’t have any money and are not consistent because of their schedules. At CrossRoads we want to see college and university students in the Tidewater area to seek the face of God, asking Him to ignite in their souls a passionate pursuit of Jesus and to spread his fame to everyone.
God longs to bring awakening to every campus, mobilizing the students of today to finish the task of global evangelization in this generation. God is calling us out for this purpose, in this moment, for His renown.

At CrossRoads we are encouraged by many of the campus organizations who are pursing Christ and want wanting to make him known. CrossRoads also has its own group called Campus Impact. Its purpose is to mobilize students to share their faith with friends, roommates, classmates and professors.
